1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Relationships. They are gifts from God. Only God could connect two human beings to one another in such a deep way. I grew up in a close-knit family and implement that same level of authenticity with my own family of 6. After losing my only sister to brain cancer, I fully grasped the depth of love between us. Loss is painful, but it is also beautiful.
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
To stop rushing bedtime. I have four children, ages 4-9, and by the end of the day, Mommy and Daddy are tired. I do not want to miss these sacred moments when they tell me their secrets and their worries about the next day. I want to be diligent to give my children the mother that they each need.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
Connecting with someone different from you. I was in Italy with a church group producing motivational festivals. During one festival, my friend and I joined a group of Italian women to hold hands and pray. We did not speak the same language. When it was my turn, the Italian woman beside me began squeezing my hand, over and over. She knew in her heart what I was praying. We were connected; one Spirit, one Creator.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
God knows better than me! All four of my children were surprises. Each one is only 1.5 years apart. I boldly stated that we would start having children after our 5th wedding anniversary. We had all four children before our 7th wedding anniversary. I thank God everyday that He took the wheel and gave me these most precious gifts that I didn’t even know I wanted.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
My children belly laughing. There is nothing like it and no matter the mood you are in, you cannot help but join in. It is contagious. Even amidst the chaos, it brings me back to a place of joy, peace, and light-heartedness.
